Spread in 15 acres of lush green coconut garden, Travancore Heritage, the sea resort is located at Chowara, south of Kovalam, near Thiruvananthapuram. Located on a cliff the resort overlooks the Arabian Sea. The Travancore Heritage embodies the traditional architecture of the typical timber houses and �Nalukettus�, tiled roof tops amidst the nature. Travancore Heritage has many cottages built in the years between 60 to 100 years at several locations in Travancore. These cottages were dismantled and transported with care with all their woodcarvings and timbers and rebuilt at the site.
Steeped in luxury and lavish interiors the Travancore Heritage has pool mansions, heritage premium, heritage home, premium mansion and beach grove accommodations separated according to amenities and price value. The resort has 2 pool mansion suites reserved for VIP guests and honeymooners. The 20 elegant heritage premiums are also rich with modern d�cor and amenities. The heritage homes have 23 luxuriously decorated rooms that overlook the green lawns. At a height of 120 ft are located the premium mansions offering you the magnificent view of the Arabian Sea. The Beach Grove has 24 modern looking rooms facing the sea.
The reception of the Travancore Heritage is a 120 year old palace of a regional king. Reminiscent of the old architectural splendor, it houses the lobby and the front office.
Other facilities include a small library on the first floor, arrangement for indoor games such as chess and card games, satellite TV and an internet kiosk. Locker Facility can also be available on request. In the basement of the reception building is the banquet hall which can accommodate around 100 people, well equipped with audio visual arrangements.
There are two swimming pools. Surrounded by poolside umbrellas guests can relax and sip light refreshments. Travancore Heritage has a health club located at the top of the beach grove. All modern fitness equipments are present in the health club. Travel desk and shop selling beach wear and selected curios are sold.
The 'open house' restaurant overlooks the pool. The restaurant offers multi-cuisine specialities, seafood and local cuisines. The 'ocean grill' beach side restaurant is in the beach grove. This restaurant specializes in sea food. There is also a separate Ayurveda Restaurant offering ayurvedic dishes.
