About Hotel Deogarh Mahal
Deogarh Mahal was built by Rawat Dwarka Dasji in 1670 A.D as a family residence. Replete with graying battlements, domes, turrets, jharokhas and huge gateways, the Deogarh Mahal is an outstanding work of architectural splendor and stands proudly atop a hill in the Aravalli mountain range, amidst picturesque rugged landscapes and numerous lakes. Deogarh Palace was converted into a heritage hotel by the present owner Rawal-Nahar Singh.

Deogarh is located on the boundaries of Mewar, Marwar and Merwara, about 80 miles north-east of Udaipur in the state of Rajasthan. The 'Rawat' or chief of Deogarh, was one of sixteen umraos (feudal barons) entitled to wait upon the Maharana of Udaipur, the capital of Mewar.
